Extending the life of tunnel ventilation systems through remote condition monitoring

Developed approximately 20 years ago, jet fans have become increasingly popular in tunnel environments.

Jet fans operate by propelling a small jet of air at very high velocity.

The high velocity jet of air causes surrounding air to be entrained and by using this principle, large volumes of air can be moved quickly as required.

Generally deployed along the length of the tunnel, jet fans are a critical component of the ventilation system, in particular during emergency events.
